Whether you are buying or selling property, it is important to have confidence in your real estate professional. It is our commitment to you to earn that confidence.

Part of our business is to keep our buyers and sellers informed on the current market conditions.  An informed buyer or seller tends to make better decisions for the most important purchase or sale in their lifetime.

Here is a little about each one of our careers and us.  Don´t forget we work full time in real estate.  We live and love real estate!!

I am a graduate of Northeast Missouri State University with a B.S. degree in Secondary Education and I received my Master's degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. My first career was in university administration and counseling. My work ranged from working with students just starting college to those moving into professional programs, Business and Nursing (in Missouri) and in Education (in Connecticut), to graduate and doctoral programs. The move to Texas with my husband, Phil Decker, who is a professor in the department of Healthcare Administration at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, prompted a career change to Real Estate in 1997.

I started real estate in a local national affiliated office. In August 2000, I started an affiliated office with a partner, and I now own RE By the Bay Real Estate.  My years of customer focus, listening skills and making sure my clients' needs are met have served well in building a this business.

My husband and I brought our boat down the east coast from Connecticut, across Florida and into the Gulf to Houston in the summer of 1995.  We invited family and friends to join us for any part of the 2 month trip they had time for and several of them did -  for a few days to a couple weeks, along the way.  Once we arrived in the Clear Lake area, it is where we called home until later that year when we bought a house.

I enjoy traveling, reading, movies, museums and Houston Texan football (season ticket holder since day one!). We have a daughter living in St. Louis, a son in Orlando, FL and a son, his wife and two grandchildren who just moved here and joined us in Texas.

I was born in California, but have lived in the Clear Lake Area for over 30 years.  I grew up in Nassau Bay with the exception of the few years I lived in Yorktown, Virginia and California.  During this time I have seen the area change and grow quite a bit!!  When we first moved here from California the only thing I remember on Nasa Rd 1(now Nasa Parkway) was NASA.  There were fields all around.  You can imagine the excitement as a kid when we moved back from Virginia to see the McDonalds!

I grew up with three brothers and three sisters.  I remember people saying, "Once you´ve seen one McMahon, you´ve seen them all".  Apparently we looked alike.  I never did see it though.  I currently have fourteen nieces and nephews and am lucky enough to still have both my mom and dad.  I also have some wonderful brothers and sisters-in-law.  We are a very close family that gets together every other year to celebrate Christmas.  It is truly an event with over 35 immediate family members.

Growing up in Nassau Bay meant going to Clear Creek High School.  When I went to school there we had two ways to get to the school from Nassau Bay.  First was to take Hwy 3 over to Main Street.  Egret Bay had not been built yet and was not completed until my senior year.  The other option was to go the other direction and take FM 146.  The issue there was the draw bridge (yes, for those of you who were not around, there was a draw bridge between Kemah and Seabrook).  If it was up, getting to school took so much longer and the teachers did not accept "caught by the draw bridge" as a valid excuse for being tardy!

After high school I went to San Jacinto Jr College for interior design and architecture. During that time I got a job at Chemic Engineering as a CAD operator.  I started working full time there until I got a much better offer at Nassau Engineering.  I started as a CAD operator and within a year was promoted to CAD supervisor.  I was in charge of up to 30 operators during the 5 years I worked for the company.

It was the birth of my first child that kept me home.  I became a stay at home mom and stayed at home for almost nine years.  I had a second child during that time.  I spent my time in play groups, doing volunteer work at the school and going to the gym, as well as taking care of the kids and house.  While I enjoyed having the opportunity to stay home, after nine years I was ready to get back to work.

I started working with Team Severson part time in 2002.  I worked on the website, created the neighborhood lists, did mail outs and other things.  I worked from home so I still had time with my kids.  In March 2005 I earned my license and became a full time licensed assistant.  It was an opportunity for me to really learn the business.  I felt I would represent my clients better with the knowledge I accumulated while working as an assistant.  In April 2007 I became a full time Realtor and full team member.

My goal for Team Severson is to become more successful than we are already.  With drive, hard work and dedication to our clients we are well on our way!

I graduated from the University of Hartford in 1994 with an Associate in Arts degree.  Originally, from St. Louis Missouri, I joined Team Severson in early 2007.

Prior to becoming a Real Estate Agent, I worked for Ford Motor Company in the St. Louis and Chicago assembly plants.  After eleven years of hard work and dedication, it was time for a career change.  Having moved twice in three years, I can honestly say that I am finally home.  My wife and two children love the change.

If you are looking for honesty, professionalism and a hard worker then I am your guy.  I treat customers with the respect and courtesy that they deserve.

In my spare time, I enjory traveling, listening to jazz, playing fantasy sports and spending time with my family.

I am a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a degree in Business. I also served my country as a fighter pilot in the Air Force for 25 years. I was first licensed as a Real Estate agent in Virginia in 1978. My first Texas license was obtained in 1990, and I have been a full time agent in Texas since March, 1999.

After retiring from the Air Force in 1979, I worked in Aerospace as a program manager until 1992 when I was elected Mayor of El Lago, Texas. I served as mayor until 1998. I then began working as a full time agent in 1999. My wife, Karan, and I share our home with 2 cats, 4 coy fish and visiting grandchildren.

In my free time, I like to cruise in my classic red 1957 Thunderbird, play golf, and watch sports events; especially attending the Houston Texan football games at Reliant Stadium.
