Clear Lake City Real Estate!  
Clear Lake City was originally owned by James Marion in 1938.  He sold a piece of it to Humble Oil & Refinery (later to become Exxon Company, USA).  The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) decided to use Houston as home base and NASA was built on 1,000 acres of the former West Ranch. 

In 1962 the Friendswood Development Company was established.  They developed 15,000 acres around NASA (changed to Johnson Space Center in 1973) for residential and industrial use.  This development was called Clear Lake City.   

There are numerous annual events in the Clear Lake City area, including the Clear Lake Spring Fling, The Boating Festival, The Lunar Rendezvous Festival, Blessing of the Fleet, The Armand Bayou Nature Center Fall Festival and The Christmas Boat Parade.
